About this property

Welcome to Jesmond Hotel

Jesmond Hotel is a charming and inviting establishment located at 63 Gower Street in the heart of London. With a commendable rating of 4.5, it represents a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for both leisure and business travelers.

Guests like Selina have praised Jesmond for its ideal location. Situated just a 20-minute walk from King's Cross Station, it provides easy access to various attractions in the bustling city. Selina's experience highlights the reasonable pricing, particularly for those who book in advance through platforms like Booking.com. She noted the cleanliness of the shared facilities, reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to maintaining a pleasant environment for its visitors.

Liam Mulvey described Jesmond as a cozy B&B style hotel, where the amiable staff enhances the overall experience. He enjoyed an excellent cooked breakfast that sets a positive tone for the day. Although he found the single room a bit snug, it served its purpose for a short stay. He did mention a downside regarding the shower, indicating an opportunity for the hotel to improve its facilities.

Daniel Ro also shared his warm thoughts about the hotel, praising its inviting atmosphere and ideal location to explore iconic London sites like the British Museum and Buckingham Palace. While he appreciated the coziness of the rooms, he pointed out the absence of air conditioning—a factor to consider during warmer months. However, the charm of the hotel’s old British house architecture adds to its appeal.

So Baudry echoed similar sentiments, applauding the warm welcome received from the staff, which is crucial for any hotel experience. However, he noted the pervasive smell of food and the warmth in the communal areas, hinting at opportunities for improvement in guest comfort. Nonetheless, the Jesmond Hotel promises an enjoyable stay with its kid-friendly environment and complimentary breakfast.

In summary, Jesmond Hotel stands out as a delightful choice for visitors seeking a comfortable and reasonably priced stay in London. Its advantageous location, friendly staff, and warm ambiance offer a practical home base for exploring the rich cultural offerings of the city. Reviewing on the basis that we paid a more than reasonable price when booking in advance through Booking.com The hotel is ideally located a 20 minute walk from King's X station and very central, especially for the price we paid. We stayed in a double room with shared facilities, and the shared facilities were kept very clean during our stay so zero problems there. Our room was also comfortable with a sink and hot drink facilties so happy overall with facilities. Whilst it was the hottest weekend of the year, and nothing to do with the hotel, I would say that the fan in our room might have been a standard size instead of a mini desk fan. Additionally, my husband needs 2 pillows to sleep comfortably so perhaps extra pillows in the room would be ideal. The service from the staff was exemplary throughout our stay, everyone was lovely. As we paid such a reaosnable price for the room, the cooked breakfast included was such a bonus. It wasn't a huge offering but great for setting you up for the day. We would definitely stay again, though potentially not in the height of summer. We had the window open overnight and the road noise at night was quite disruptive.

This is a nice little b&b style hotel. The staff were all very lovely and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. I stayed in a single room. It was fine. It's fairly small - the single bed takes up half the room - and I likely wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay, but was enough for a single night. The only major downside is the shower was very poor.

A cute little hotel on a B&B basis with an excellent starting point to explore London. The staff is awesome and very helpful. The rooms are cozy but unfortunately they don't have an A/C. So the rooms heat up pretty much. It also would be nice, to have a fridge in the room. The hotel building itself is an old typical British house with a breakfast room in the basement. The hotel serves a full british breakfast. You get a key to access the hotel at every time you want even when the staff left the hotel. Unfortunately, I am not able to give 5 stars for the rooms, as there was some dirt and an old sock under the bed. The shower was starting to build up some mold and the air fan did not work. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay there again despite some small, little issues

Just as described, a hotel to spend a good night or two. A very warm and pleasant welcome from the staff, who take great care of their guests. There's a strong smell of food and it's very hot in the communal areas as the radiator is always on. I'd be inclined to have my smells regulated.
